The voluntary fire brigade Sachsendorf was founded by 42 founding members and fire chief Wilhelm Wachtel was elected to office.

Before the foundation of the FFW, the fire fighting was organized by the community board. On January 7th, 1959 the new building was handed over to the fire brigade. In the same year the training room was added. The effort ensured that in 1960 the FFW Sachsendorf was named "Best Fire Brigade in the Schönebeck District". The award was endowed with 250 marks and the much contested hiking flag.

After the reunification in 1990, the deployment of the FFW Sachsendorf was expanded, so that assistance with z. B. traffic accidents were added.

On the occasion of the founding day of the fire brigade, a fire brigade ball is traditionally organized every year at the beginning of January.

In addition, the school was used in the afternoons as a vocational school and until 1951 for confirmation classes. In 1973 the ten-class polytechnic high school was founded in Sachsendorf. Children from Sachsendorf, Lödderitz, Zuchau and Trabitz attended school in Sachsendorf up to the 10th grade.

The old school "Am Rust", which had been converted into apartments in the meantime, was again used as a 2nd-4th grade elementary school. Class used. In 1985, 18 teachers taught 154 school children.

In 1987 the Polytechnic High School in Sachsendorf was given the honorary name "Anna Kolley". After a new school building was completed in 1989, the old school "Am Rust" was closed again.

Trinitatiskapelle in Sachsendorf

The small chapel was built around 1000 years ago. It served the domain Rosenburg, Vorwerk Patzetz as storage for over 400 years until the 20th century.

The building materials trade based in the GDR became Raiffeisen Landhandel after reunification. Among other things, feed, tools and work clothing were sold there.

In 2013, the current owner, Thomas Lachetta, acquired the former agricultural trade and carried out extensive renovations in the premises. Since then, the property has been the headquarters of the caretaker and event seat Th. Lachetta.
